TUESDAY LeagueS Finals
Thank you very much for an incredible Summer Season of football. We experienced a couple of extremely hot weeks, but we have persevered and made it through. Now, it’s officially FINALS TIME!!!!
WEEK 1 > TUESDAY 4TH FEBRUARY - SEMI FINALS & GRAND FINALS (for teams in 2 group pools or FATAL 3 Finals)
WEEK 2 > TUESDAY 11TH FEBRUARY - GRAND FINALS
Ensure your team attends the finals, as it's an incredibly exciting time for all involved. We have reached out to each team to confirm their attendance and eagerly anticipate a great day filled with thrilling football! If you find that you cannot make it due to an unforeseen emergency, please do not hesitate to email us at dandenong@soccer5s.com. Your communication is important to us.
FINALS DRAW
Each match has a description, these are the codes so you understand how your finals work:
SF (1 OR 2) > Semi Final, if you win this you will play your GF next Tuesday 11th February.
GF > Grand Final, if you win this you will be awarded the trophy and medals after the match.
Fat3 > this is a Fatal 3 play off, this is when we have an odd number of teams so 3 teams play a match 20 mins against both of the other teams and the winning team is the team with most points, then highest goal difference, then highest goals scored. The 3 20 min games are played 1 after another. A Fat3 can be either a Grand Final or a Semi Final.
Gold / Silver / Bronze / Rose / Platinum > this is your finals pool graded from your final position.
The draw may change if we have any last-minute cancellations, which could occur if any teams are unable to attend due to unforeseen circumstances. We advise you to check the draw below by clicking the link to your specific competition and then selecting the schedule tab for the most up-to-date information.
GUEST PASS PLAYERS
We fully understand that there are instances when teams require additional players to fill their roster. Guest pass players are designated as one-time players who may join your team for a specific occasion when you find yourself short on players. It is important to note that during the finals, only guest pass players who have participated in at least three matches will be deemed eligible to play. If you are planning to bring along a guest pass player for a game, we kindly ask that you notify us by sending an email to dandenong@soccer5s.com to confirm their qualification for your team. Each guest pass player will incur a fee of $20 for each match they participate in. Additionally, spectator passes will be available for collection at the player check-in desk, which is located at the entrance to the players' walkway. Every guest player will receive a wristband that clearly indicates the team name they are representing for the match. The referee will ensure that all players are verified before the match begins, maintaining the integrity of the game.
Guest players appearances are recorded and will determine eligibility for Finals.
GUEST PASS - $20 PER PLAYER PER MATCH
PLAYER CONDUCT
All registered players have accepted the terms and conditions for play at Soccer5s. Misconduct by players will result in disciplinary actions. Respect for the referee should be shown at all times. Referees are required to make quick decisions based on their judgement and abuse will not be tolerated. NO REFEREES MEANS NO GAMES!
Please respect the rules of the competition. Slide tackles and barging into the fences are completely unacceptable.
SPECTATOR CONDUCT
All spectators are expected to be supportive of their own team and to refrain from displaying negativity toward the opposing players. We fully understand that finals are incredibly important to everyone involved, and that all participants desire to secure a victory; however, it's crucial to remember that not all players can win in a competitive environment. Therefore, we kindly ask that you maintain a supportive demeanor regardless of whether your team wins or loses. The behavior and conduct of spectators can significantly influence the players' attitudes and decision-making processes throughout the course of a game. Should we notice any inappropriate behavior from spectators, we will unfortunately have to ask you to leave the venue for the sake of maintaining a positive atmosphere for all.
MATCH DECIDERS
Any games that result in a draw, will be decided by a penalty shoot out at full time. The penalty shootout is best of 3 penalties to each team and then sudden death
